Which bra is better: padded or non-padded?

Which bra is better: padded or non-padded?

The answer to this question depends on what you are looking for in a bra. What works for you might not work for someone else. After all, all bodies are different.

Padded vs non-padded bra

It's not fair to compare padded bras vs non-padded bras because both have their own features that serve different needs. Before going through Wacoal's extensive bra catalogue, read on to know the difference between padded and non-padded bras here.

  • Padding:

One features cups lined with foam, while the other doesn't. The padding can guard against showing nipples, minimize chafing, and even give an additional support layer.

  • Shaping:

Padded bras can give your breasts a rounder appearance, while non-padded bras will accentuate the natural shape.

  • Support:

Padded bras usually have wide straps and an underwire, so all of these can give large breasts optimum support. Non-padded bras do not offer as much support, primarily because of no foam lining.

  • Catered to different breast sizes:

Padded bras are usually marketed to women with smaller breasts. However, they can be worn by more prominent busted women too. Non-padded bras are best suited for all types of breasts, though they will not give the same support as padded bras.

  • Individual experience of comfort levels:

Padded bras are only some people's cup of tea, and some women prefer only to wear them occasionally. Non-padded bras can feel less constricting in comparison.

There is no one winner in the debate about padded vs non-padded bras.  In the end, what matters is choosing a bra that fits you right so you can get optimum support.
